Photograph of Culpeper County Courthouse and Confederate Monument ca.1912.
dc.description.abstract"The courthouse has been greatly enlarged in recent years. The cannon balls at the base of the monument were donated in the scrap metal drive during WW-1, to be melted down and used in the war effort. The monument was dedicated July 31, 1911. The old livery stable on Cameron street, may be seen behind the monument. The livery stable at that time was owned by R.T. Kelly. The names of the occupants of the buggy or that of the horse are unknown" -- note with photograph.en_US
