The Culpeper Courthouse, built in 1873, is in the background. On the right is the Gorrell Building, Dr. J.B. Gorrell opened Culpeper's first drug store here in 1854, in 1889, he remodeled the old Hill home, which was the boyhood home of Gen. A.P. Hill" -- note with photograph.
