Abstract
"From left: A part of Rixey Building at that time a grocery store (recently vacated by Martin's Furniture); J.A. Swan Jr. & Co., now Culpeper Appliances Inc.; originally Cline Bros. Gen. merchandise, J&J Used Furniture now in this building; on corner R.F. Booton furniture store from 1898 to 1920, Bruce's Drug Store followed by several other drug stores, and is now Gayheart's Drug Store. Those identified are 1. Sam Schrieber 2. Bill Smith 3. Reg Hudson 4. Wilson Haynes 5. Douglas Swan 6. Bernard Inskeep 7. Silar Carder 8. Arthur Kite. We hope the identifications are correct" -- note with photograph.
